满帆 Celebrates 国际 Education Week with Cultural Festival

国际 students shared their cultures with the 满帆 community during the recent campus event.

During this year’s 国际 Education Week, the 满帆 community celebrated the benefits of international education and exchange with events including panels, 表演, 和研讨会. Closing out the week was the Cultural Festival, a community event where international students were able to share the cultures of their home countries with their peers, 教师, 和工作人员.

学生 across degree programs shared their cultures with the 满帆 community, representing 30 different countries including Pakistan, 印度, 黎巴嫩, 韩国, and many more during the festival. Student-run country booths shared food samples, 音乐, 服装, 项目委员会, and traditions with attendees and fellow participants.

The festival also treated guests to several 表演 including a K-pop song and dance, 萨尔萨舞, and a Colombian 音乐 performance. Student Graeme Toussaint – who performed a steel pan drum solo – allowed booth visitors to try their hand at the instrument while representing their home nation of Trinidad and Tobago.

“所以我们经常, staff and students alike, are so caught up in our own little world, we are unaware of the diversity within 满帆’s student population,” shares 国际 Student Coordinator Sandi Foncannon. “There are students attending from all corners of the globe to study entertainment media and technology.
